Baby Food

Wash, core and coarsely chop an organic apple. Place in a small pot with enough water to cover the surface of the pot by ¼ inch. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover and simmer for about 4 minutes or until the apple is soft. Puree in a blender or a small hand-held baby food mill. Or, to enable mashing with a fork, peel the apple prior to cooking it.
Variations: For the apple, substitute approximately 1 cup of chopped of organic pear, yam, carrot, parsnip, peach or nectarine.
